Welcome to our Web site!Hello my name is Jerome Shumate and I am from Morgan City Alabama... I started this site for a couple of reasons. 1) To hone my web page building skills. 2) To show case the Mustangs here in the Morgan City area. We have tons of mustangs here. We are all a pretty tight group and all have one thing in common. We love Mustangs. We get together from time to time and go to the track and we also do a little street racing from time to time. We have a few spots that you can get in a race or two and get out before the County Sheriff and his deputies show up. We also travel out to Huntsville, Decatur, Madison, and Even Hartselle once and awhile. Morgan City is located in North Alabama South of Huntsville, AL and North of Arab, AL. This is my first web page so fill free to contact me if you have in issues with the site. I am all for making it better. Click here to send me any suggestions you might have. Well enough of that and on to me. I am 30 year old White male. I have no hair only because I choose not to. I tell my buddies that are losing their hair I shave my heads so they don't feel so bad about losing their hair. I like it because I have enough going on I don't have time to worry about my hair. I started off with my first car being a 1966 Dodge Dart 4 door sedan. It was a slant 6 automatic. This is where it all started. It was my brothers first car and he gotten another vehicle. (88 Long wheel base S-10) The car didn't run and it was just setting there. My parents didn't have the money to buy me another car/truck. I was 16 and wanted a car bad as you can imagine. I asked my mom and dad everyday to let me have the car and each day the answer was no. I am 16 years old and bound a determined that I am going to have the car. I know the real reason that they didn't want me to have the car was they would stay up and worry all the time about me being out in the car. Well my old man finally caved and said "If you can get it to run you can drive it." Well I had no ideal about what was wrong with it except there was something wrong with the carburetor. I didn't know what a carburetor was and had never turned the first wrench. I did know what tools were and what they were called though. I went to the shed and grabbed up some tools and went to work. I pulled the carburetor off and tore it into pieces. I didn't have money for gaskets or anything. So I cleaned everything up with a cup of fresh gas and put it all back together. Stuck it on the car and tried to start it. Long story short 2 hours from the time I was told "If you can fix it you can drive it. " The sweet sound a internal combustion engine makes was singing in my ears. My old man held true to his word and let me drive it. From this day one my love for working on cars and engines has grown. I have owned countless cars and truck since then. I moved on to performance cars later. Starting with the first car I ever bought on my own. It was a 79 Camaro with automatic transmission and another slant 6. The car ended up with a roll cage, Fuel cell, 400 small block, and welded up rear end. I still have the car and never plan to part with it. At some point in all of this I got tired of rebuilding Chevy engines and moved on to the new family of cars. Ford! I have had so much luck with Fords I will never buy anything else. I have some old Chevy cars laying around but will never purchase anything that doesn't have a Blue Oval on the front. I have cars/trucks right now. 66 Mustang coupe, 92 Mustang GT, 06 F-250 Amarillo edition, 96 Mustang GT, 78 and 79 Camaro, 76 Olds 98(Don't ask), 99 Lightning, and my Pride and joy 92 LX Coupe known as Greymare. Enough about me and my cars. Now head on over to my gallery and check out some of my rides and all of the folks from around the area. There is also some videos there to.
